The story

Born in Adelaide, South Australia to Christine and Lauri Tuominen, Adam has a twin Brother, Sam, and older sister, Natalie; with Finnish heritage through his Finland-born Father.

Adam studied drama during high school in Adelaide at St. Peter’s College, followed by studying drama and directing at Adelaide’s Flinders University Drama Centre.

In 1999 (at the age of just 18) Adam was chosen as the only South Australian to attend Australia’s most prestigious drama school - the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, New South Wales.

After graduating in 2001, Adam won the role of Hunter Bradley, the Crimson Thunder Ranger in the long-running American series, Power Rangers: Ninja Storm. A nine month stint in New Zealand playing this popular character resulted in 39 episodes, which are still enjoyed today – with this particular series being considered one of the most successful ever.

Adam has enjoyed a number of guest roles on successful Australian TV series such as Always Greener, Young Lions and McLeod’s Daughters.

Prominent TV work has included that of playing war veteran Frank ‘Razor Jack’ Hayes, in Underbelly: Razor – a 13-part Australian television mini-series detailing real events that occurred in Sydney between 1927 and 1936. The series depicts the “razor gangs” who controlled the city’s underworld during the era.

Recent feature film roles include that of portraying political prisoner, Jeremy Cronin, alongside Daniel Radcliffe in the true story of Escape from Pretoria.

Adam is also a lover of the stage, and has many lead roles to his name.
